Diabetes @ Camp Simcha

In the UK, there were an estimated 36,000 children with diabetes under the age of 19 in 2019, up from 31,500 in 2015.

According to research, type 1 diabetes constitutes the vast majority (90%) of diabetes in children and young people and type 2 diabetes can occur in all age groups and is increasingly being diagnosed in children, with about 10% of children and young people under the age of 19 years having type 2 diabetes.

Our communities of support are here to help you through it with the support of other parents as well as informative talks and events.
