Fibre is a part of food that is not digested well. It is usually in the skins of fruits, vegetables and whole grains i.e. bran. If you wish to follow a low fibre diet and feel it would be of benefit then ask your GP or consultant gastroenterologist.

Breads and crackers
All white varieties
All those with whole grains, nuts, seeds and dried fruits
Cereals
Low fibre cereals such as; Cornflakes, Rice Krispies, Cocopops, Frosties
All high fibre cereals such as Weetabix, Shreddies any whole grains with nuts and or dried fruits
Cakes and biscuits
All plain white flour biscuits
All those with dried fruits or nuts
Potatoes
Peeled cooked, mashed, roasted or chipped potatoes
Any potatoes cooked with skin
White pasta, rice, noodles, couscous
Brown pasta, brown rice and wild rice
Fruits
All fruits must be peeled and preferably cooked. No piths
Skins and seeds of fruits such as; strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, passion fruit, grapes
Vegetables
Peeled and cooked vegetables with no tough or stringy parts. For example; peeled and cooked parsnip, swede, carrot, butternut squash, pumpkin, sweet potato
Well boiled broccoli (flower parts only) and cauliflower
Stalks and skins of vegetables, peas, sweetcorn, green beans, mange tout, sugar snap peas, onions, brussel sprouts, cabbage, mushrooms, salad vegetables
Meat, fish and alternatives
All meat, fish, chicken, eggs and Tofu
Beans, lentils, nuts, quorn
Dairy Foods
All dairy foods are acceptable EXCEPT those yoghurts with wholegrain cereals
